I love this article which summarises the status quo of gentrification brought by the new urban developmentalism in Hong Kong. Especially when many urban renewal projects are not managed and regulated by city-state power but the profit-based URA and private businesses, those lower classes can be forced to displace without adequate compensation. This is completely injustice and needs more discussion.
